Will Legislature change Alabama tenure law?

Teacher tenure and job protection for other school workers has been controversial in Alabama for years.
Some school systems don't even try to get rid of bad teachers because the process is too complicated, lengthy and expensive. Some members of the Alabama Legislature have vowed to change the teacher tenure law to make it easier to get rid of those bad teachers.
But can the Legislature do this, while still ensuring educators have academic freedom? And what is academic freedom anyway.  Let us Hear how Monroe County feels about TENURE in Our County Educational System.  Please post your comments in the sound off section below.........
